Keycloak has authentication bypass via jwt algorithm confusion

    CVE-2026-11800 · GHSA-j97h-3f8r-mrjr

    Affected
    • Maven org.keycloak:keycloak-services < 26.6.4
    Fixed in
    26.6.4· Vendor fix available
    Issue
A flaw was found in Keycloak. This JWT algorithm confusion vulnerability in the JWT Authorization Grant flow allows an attacker with valid client credentials to bypass signature verification. By forging an assertion, the attacker can create unauthorized access tokens. This enables the attacker to impersonate any federated user linked to the affected Identity Provider, leading to unauthorized access and potential privilege escalation.

Recommended action: Upgrade to 26.6.4 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.

Keycloak vulnerable to cross-site scripting (xss) via case-insensitive uri validation bypass

    CVE-2026-9086 · GHSA-v3f7-2p4r-mwfw

    Affected
    • Maven org.keycloak:keycloak-services < 26.6.4
    Fixed in
    26.6.4· Vendor fix available
    Issue
A flaw was found in Keycloak. A remote attacker with administrative privileges, specifically those with `manage-client` permission or access to client registration endpoints, could bypass client Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) validation. This is achieved by registering a malicious client with a specially crafted redirect URI using a case-insensitive `javascript:` or `data:` scheme. This Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability allows for arbitrary code execution in the Keycloak origin when a victim clicks the crafted link, such as in the logout flow or the Admin Console.

Recommended action: Upgrade to 26.6.4 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.

Keycloak vulnerable to information disclosure through arbitrary filesystem path probing

    CVE-2026-9083 · GHSA-9jrw-8xf7-xqhq

    Affected
    • Maven org.keycloak:keycloak-services < 26.6.4
    Fixed in
    26.6.4· Vendor fix available
    Issue
A flaw was found in Keycloak. A realm administrator with the "manage-realm" role can exploit this vulnerability by submitting an arbitrary filesystem path as a keystore parameter when creating a key provider component. This allows the administrator to probe arbitrary filesystem paths, determining which files exist and are readable by the Keycloak process. This information disclosure could be used to identify high-value targets for follow-on attacks.

Keycloak allows unauthorized access to resources via uma permission ticket bypass

    CVE-2026-9799 · GHSA-w3p3-7cjg-vgfw

    Affected
    • Maven org.keycloak:keycloak-services < 26.6.4
    Fixed in
    26.6.4· Vendor fix available
    Issue
A flaw was found in org.keycloak.authorization. An authenticated user with a granted User-Managed Access (UMA) permission ticket for one resource can exploit this by using a specific permission request prefix to bypass per-resource access control. This allows the user to gain unauthorized access to all resources of that type within the same resource server, even if they do not have a ticket for those specific resources. This vulnerability requires the resource server to be configured in PERMISSIVE policy enforcement mode and affects typed resources with ownerManagedAccess enabled, where no explicit policy protects the resource type. The primary consequence is unauthorized information disclosure or modification of resources.

Recommended action: Upgrade to 26.6.4 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.

A flaw was found in Keycloak Policy Enforcer. This vulnerability allows any authenticated user to bypass all authorization policies, including role, scope, and User-Managed Access (UMA) permission checks. Affected
    • Maven org.keycloak:keycloak-services < 26.6.4
    Fixed in

    Issue
A flaw was found in Keycloak's client registration service. A remote attacker, possessing a previously issued Registration Access Token (RAT), could exploit this vulnerability to re-enable a client that an administrator had explicitly disabled. This bypasses security controls, allowing the attacker to reset the client's secret and potentially regain privileged API access. The primary impact includes unauthorized information disclosure and potential integrity compromise.

A flaw was found in the reset-credentials flow of the keycloak-services component, which is the core engine for identity and access management in Red Hat Build of Keycloak. The issue allows an unauthenticated attacker to force the password reset process for any user without needing to click the required email verification link. This can result in the attacker gaining full control over target user accounts by directly setting new credentials.

    Affected
    • Maven org.keycloak:keycloak-services < 26.6.4
    Fixed in
    26.6.4· Vendor fix available
    Issue
A flaw was found in Keycloak's Fine-Grained Admin Permissions (FGAPv2) feature. An administrator with limited client management permissions can exploit this vulnerability to assign any realm role, including highly privileged roles, to a client's scope mapping. This bypasses intended security controls, allowing the injected role to be projected into a user's authentication token when they access the modified client. This could lead to unauthorized privilege escalation within the Keycloak realm.

Keycloak: Open redirect when using wildcard valid redirect URIs in Keycloak

    CVE-2026-7504 · GHSA-rp95-xpg9-c2cq

    Affected
    • Maven org.keycloak:keycloak-services < 26.6.2
    Fixed in
    26.6.2· Vendor fix available
    Issue
A flaw was found in Keycloak's URL validation logic during redirect operations. By crafting a malicious request, an attacker could bypass validation to redirect users to unauthorized URLs, potentially leading to the exposure of sensitive information within the domain or facilitating further attacks. This vulnerability specifically affects Keycloak clients configured with a wildcard () in the "Valid Redirect URIs" field and requires user interaction to be successfully exploited. The issue stems from a discrepancy in how Keycloak and the underlying Java URI implementation handle the user-info component of a URL. If a malicious redirect URL is constructed using multiple @ characters in the user-info section, Java's URI parser fails to extract the user-info, leaving only the raw authority field. Consequently, Keycloak's validation check fails to detect the malformed user-info, falls back to a wildcard comparison, and incorrectly permits the malicious redirect.

    Issue
A session fixation vulnerability was found in Keycloak's login-actions endpoints. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this flaw by pre-creating an authentication session and tricking a victim into visiting a maliciously crafted link. By leveraging the /login-actions/restart endpoint—which processes session handles without adequate CSRF protection or cookie ownership validation—an attacker can reset the authentication flow state. This causes Single Sign-On (SSO) to authenticate the victim transparently upon clicking the link, allowing the attacker to hijack the required-action form without needing the victim's credentials. A successful exploit could lead to complete account takeover, including highly privileged administrative accounts.
