Terms of service

Effective date:

Agreement

These terms apply to your use of Patch Next at https://patchnext.com, published by PixelVent, which is operated by The Huggable Corporation Incorporated, a Delaware C Corporation (“PixelVent”, “we”; see the legal notice). By using Patch Next you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

If you use Patch Next for a business, for example in a team organization, our data processing addendum also applies to the personal data you put into it and forms part of these terms.

What Patch Next does

Patch Next collects public security and maintenance advisories, compares them with the software inventory you provide, and suggests what to look at next. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Sources and coverage

Supported public sources are checked on a schedule, not in real time. Advisories can be late, incomplete or wrong at the source, and our matching can miss components or versions. No result is a guarantee that your software is safe: “no known match” only means we found nothing for the inventory and sources we checked.

A vendor releasing a fix does not mean your own finding is resolved. Check the primary source and verify the change in your own systems.

Not a security audit

Patch Next is not a penetration test, source-code audit, vulnerability scan of your systems, incident response or managed security service. It does not patch software or run commands for you. Recommended actions are guidance for you or your coding agent to review and test before applying; you remain responsible for changes to your systems.

Your account and data

You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity under your account. You keep ownership of the inventories you save; you allow us to store and process them only to provide Patch Next. Do not upload source code, secrets or data you are not permitted to share.

Coding agents and MCP access

Personal agent tokens and apps you connect through OAuth can read only the stacks you select. Tokens expire within 90 days, and you can revoke tokens and connected apps yourself at any time on Agent access. A token can save or update your stacks only if you turn that on for it. Keep tokens private: anyone holding one can use its access. Connecting an agent does not start background monitoring; your agent host must run any schedule. You are responsible for what your agent does with the results.

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to access other users’ data or bypass access controls or limits.
  • Do not overload, attack or probe the service or its providers.
  • Respect rate limits on public feeds and APIs.
  • Do not use the service or its information to harm others or break the law.

Third-party information

Advisory content comes from third parties such as vendors, maintainers and public catalogues, under their own terms. Links to outside sites are provided for reference; we are not responsible for their content.

Sponsorship

Sponsor placements are clearly labeled. Sponsors cannot influence which advisories appear, their severity or ranking, the sources we use or the fixes we recommend. The price, week and booking conditions of a placement are shown on the sponsor page before payment, and payment is handled by Stripe.

Paid plans

Patch Next does not charge users. If paid plans are introduced, prices, renewal, cancellation and refund terms will be shown before you buy, and these terms will be updated.

No warranty

Patch Next is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, PixelVent is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses resulting from vulnerabilities, missed or delayed advisories, or actions taken based on Patch Next information.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

Ending use

You can stop using Patch Next at any time. To close your account, sign in and use Delete account under Account on Your stack: the deletion is immediate and permanent, and the privacy policy describes what it removes. To stop update emails, use the unsubscribe link in any update email or Email updates on Your stack.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.

Changes

We will post updates on this page and change the effective date. Material changes will be announced to signed-in users before they apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without affecting mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.

Legal notices

Everything these terms let you do, you do yourself in the app. Formal legal notices about these terms go to the address in the legal notice.

MCP and agent-token disclaimer

Use of the Patch Next MCP server and agent tokens is at your own risk. Patch Next is not responsible for prompt injection via advisory or source text, incorrect or missing data, or actions your agents take. Advisory and source text is untrusted third-party data, not instructions.

Sponsor policy and non-endorsement

Sponsorships are subject to our sponsor policy.

Sponsorships are paid placements. Patch Next does not endorse, vouch for or guarantee any sponsor or third-party company, product or service. Sponsors never affect which advisories appear or how they rank.
