    CVE-2026-35211 · GHSA-qpp6-p693-rmm4

    Affected
    • PyPI pycti < 7.260401.0
    Fixed in
    7.260401.0· Vendor fix available
    Issue
OpenCTI is an open source platform for managing cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Prior to 7.260401.0, the OpenCTI GraphQL API exposes a script filter operator in its FilterOperator enum that allows any authenticated user with the KNOWLEDGE capability to pass user-supplied Elasticsearch Painless script values directly into search queries without validation or sanitization, allowing computationally expensive scripts to consume cluster CPU resources and degrade or deny service for all users. This issue is fixed in version 7.260401.0.

Recommended action: Upgrade to 7.260401.0 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.

    7.260326.0· Vendor fix available
    Issue
OpenCTI is an open source platform for managing cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Prior to 7.260326.0, an authorization bypass vulnerability in OpenCTI allows any authenticated user with KNOWLEDGE_KNUPDATE permission to bypass Confidence Level validation and Object Marking restrictions by injecting the synchronized-upsert: true HTTP header, enabling attackers to downgrade confidence levels, remove security markings such as TLP:RED, manipulate relationships, and affect STIX object types including Indicators, ThreatActors, Malware, and Reports. This issue is fixed in version 7.260326.0.

OpenCTI has Semi-Blind SSRF via Unvalidated External URL in Data Ingestion Feature

    CVE-2026-21887 · GHSA-ffm6-vvph-g5f5

    Affected
    • PyPI pycti < 6.8.16
    Fixed in
    6.8.16· Vendor fix available
    Issue
The OpenCTI platform’s data ingestion feature accepts user-supplied URLs without validation and uses the Axios HTTP client with its default configuration (allowAbsoluteUrls: true). This allows attackers to craft requests to arbitrary endpoints, including internal services, because Axios will accept and process absolute URLs. This results in a semi-blind SSRF, as responses may not be fully visible but can still impact internal systems. Impact OpenCTI’s data ingestion feature can allow an attacker to make the application send HTTP requests to arbitrary internal or external endpoints. This means an attacker could reach internal services that are not exposed publicly, such as Elasticsearch, Redis, or RabbitMQ, and potentially extract sensitive data or manipulate internal components. In cloud environments, the attacker could target metadata services like AWS, Azure, or GCP to obtain credentials and configuration details, which could lead to full compromise of the infrastructure.…

Recommended action: Upgrade to 6.8.16 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.

    OpenCTI May Bypass Introspection Restriction

    CVE-2024-37155 · GHSA-4mvw-j8r9-xcgc

    Affected
    • PyPI pycti < 6.1.9
    Fixed in
    6.1.9· Vendor fix available
    Issue
The regex validation used to prevent Introspection queries can be bypassed by removing the extra whitespace, carriage return, and line feed characters from the query. Details GraphQL Queries in OpenCTI can be validated using the secureIntrospectionPlugin. Impact Bypassing this restriction allows the attacker to gather a wealth of information about the GraphQL endpoint functionality that can be used to perform actions and/or read data without authorization. These queries can also be weaponized to conduct a Denial of Service (DoS) attack if sent repeatedly.

Recommended action: Upgrade to 6.1.9 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.

    7.260227.0· Vendor fix available
    Issue
OpenCTI is an open source platform for managing cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Versions prior to 7.260227.0 are vulnerable to XSS in the rendering of email-message observable body data. The content of the body field isn't appropriately sanitized when being rendered. Does require user interaction but could be exploited by someone sharing stix or any of the ingester. This could lead to CSRF and then large scale session theft. Version 7.260227.0 contains a fix.

    6.9.1· Vendor fix available
    Issue
OpenCTI is an open source platform for managing cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Prior to version 6.9.1, the GraphQL mutations "IndividualDeletionDeleteMutation" is intended to allow users to delete individual entity objects respectively. However, it was observed that this mutation can be misused to delete unrelated and sensitive objects such as analyses reports etc. This behavior stems from the lack of validation in the API to ensure that the targeted object is contextually related to the mutation being executed. Version 6.9.1 fixes the issue.

    Issue
OpenCTI is an open source platform for managing cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Prior to version 6.8.3, an open redirect vulnerability exists in the OpenCTI platform's SAML authentication endpoint (/auth/saml/callback). By manipulating the RelayState parameter, an attacker can force the server to issue a 302 redirect to any external URL, enabling phishing, credential theft, and arbitrary site redirection. 6.8.1· Vendor fix available
    Issue
OpenCTI is an open source platform for managing cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Prior to version 6.8.1, the GraphQL mutation "WorkspacePopoverDeletionMutation" allows users to delete workspace-related objects such as dashboards and investigation cases. However, the mutation lacks proper authorization checks to verify ownership of the targeted resources. An attacker can exploit this by supplying an active UUID of another user. Since the API does not validate whether the requester owns the resource, the mutation executes successfully, resulting in unauthorized deletion of the entire workspace. Version 6.8.1 fixes the issue.

    Issue
OpenCTI is an open source platform for managing cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Prior to version 6.6.6, an IDOR vulnerability in the GrapQL `NotificationLineNotificationMarkReadMutation` and `NotificationLineNotificationDeleteMutation` mutations of OpenCTI allows an authenticated user to change the read status of a notification or delete a notification of another user in case he has knowledge of the UUID of the notification. When changing the read status of a notification, the user also receives the content of the notification they changed the read status of. Issue
OpenCTI is an open-source cyber threat intelligence platform. In versions starting from 6.4.8 to before 6.4.10, the allow/deny lists can be bypassed, allowing a user to change attributes that are intended to be unmodifiable by the user. It is possible to toggle the `external` flag on/off and change the own token value for a user. It is also possible to edit attributes that are not in the allow list, such as `otp_qr` and `otp_activated`. If external users exist in the OpenCTI setup and the information about these users identities is sensitive, the above vulnerabilities can be used to enumerate existing user accounts as a standard low privileged user. This issue has been patched in version 6.4.10.

    Issue
OpenCTI is an open-source cyber threat intelligence platform. Before 6.3.0, general users can access information that can only be accessed by users with access privileges to admin and support information (SETTINGS_SUPPORT). This is due to inadequate access control for support information (http:// /storage/get/support/UUID/UUID.zip), and that the UUID is available to general users using an attached query (logs query). In versions below 6.2.18, because the function to limit the rate of OTP does not exist, an attacker with valid credentials or a malicious user who commits internal fraud can break through the two-factor authentication and hijack the account.
