News

Exploited vulnerabilities and security reports from CISA and the GitHub Advisory Database, each linked to its source.

Not matched to your stack. Add Patch Next to your agent to see what affects you.

About this feed

Vulnerabilities that CISA lists as exploited in the wild (the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog) and CISA's cybersecurity advisories, collected daily and quoted with a link to the source. These events are not matched to your stack: an entry does not mean you are affected, and a missing entry does not mean you are safe. Required actions and due dates are CISA's, written for U.S. federal civilian agencies.

For the open-source packages you run, the advisory feed has affected versions and fixes, and your stack matches them to your exact versions.

    #StopRansomware: SafePay Ransomware

    CVE-2020-3259 · CVE-2023-20269 · CVE-2023-27532 · CVE-2024-40711 · CVE-2024-40766

This advisory details recent activity by the SafePay ransomware group. SafePay actors have been highly active since August 2024, targeting businesses and critical infrastructure across North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. SafePay actors typically gain access to networks by stealing or guessing passwords, exploiting vulnerabilities in security systems, and using phishing tactics. Once inside the network, SafePay actors establish control by creating new accounts or taking over existing ones. They then use legitimate system tools to move through the network, identify valuable files, and disable security protections to avoid detection. Next, they encrypt the victim’s files, making them inaccessible, and leave a ransom note demanding payment in cryptocurrency. This advisory urges organizations to follow recommended security measures to reduce the risk and impact of SafePay ransomware attacks.

Advisory at a Glance Title Chinese Government-linked Cyber Threat Actors Combine Automated and Hands-on Hacking Tools to Steal Sensitive Data Original Publication October 8, 2026 Executive Summary Chinese government-linked cyber threat actors, enabled by the Integrity Technology Group, are combining automated scanning tools, large-scale botnets, and hands-on exploitation techniques to target and steal sensitive data from organizations worldwide, including US critical infrastructure sectors. These actors exploit vulnerabilities by using scanning tools, cross-site scripting attacks, and password spraying on Microsoft Exchange servers, while establishing persistence through VPN software and exfiltrating emails and credentials using scripts. To help mitigate against this activity, organizations should prioritize disabling unused services and ports, sanitizing web application inputs to prevent injection attacks, implementing multifactor authentication for all services, and applying timely…

China-Based Artificial Intelligence Companies Conducting Industrial-Scale Distillation Campaigns Against U.S. AI Companies

Executive summary China-based artificial intelligence (AI) companies are conducting systematic extraction of proprietary functionalities and capabilities of U.S. AI companies’ models through industrial-scale knowledge distillation campaigns that form the core—not merely a supplement—of their AI development strategy. While “distillation” is recognized as a legitimate and useful technique in AI research, China-based AI companies are engaging in aggressive, malicious, and targeted distillation activities at an industrial scale that extract restricted proprietary functionalities and capabilities of U.S. frontier AI models. The National Security Agency (NSA), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) (hereafter referred to as the authoring agencies) are releasing this joint Cybersecurity Advisory to alert organizations about these malicious activities and techniques and recommend mitigations to reduce their potential impact. Likely…

A Tale of Two SOCs: Insights From Two Red Team Assessments

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) conducted simultaneous red team assessments at two organizations and observed different defensive outcomes. In both environments, the red team achieved full domain compromise and accessed sensitive business systems (SBSs) and cloud resources. Organization A failed to detect or contain the activity, but Organization B rapidly identified initial compromise attempts, isolated affected systems, and forced the red team into an assume breach model. This advisory details the red team’s activity and organizations’ defensive actions, offering lessons learned and mitigations to help critical infrastructure organizations strengthen detection, response, and protections in IT, cloud, and operational technology (OT) environments.

    CVE-2024-55591 · CVE-2025-24472

Gunra is a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) used by affiliates to target government, critical infrastructure, and other organizations. The Gunra ransomware variant first appeared in 2025 and expanded to RaaS operations in 2026. The actors leverage a double-extortion model, both encrypting data and threatening to publish exfiltrated data to a dedicated leak site (DLS) if the ransom is not paid. This advisory provides technical details of the activity, as well as tailored detection and mitigation guidance to protect at-risk organizations from Gunra.

    CVE-2025-66376

Russian State-Supported Cyber Actors Conduct Phishing Campaign Targeting Users of Zimbra Collaboration Suite Executive summary A group of Russian state-supported cyber actors has been targeting and compromising various Western government and commercial organizations using the Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) software since at least July 2025. The Russian state-supported advanced persistent threat (APT) group’s activity is tracked in the cybersecurity community under several names (see Cybersecurity industry tracking ), primarily as “LAUNDRY BEAR,” a name initially coined by the Netherlands General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD) and Defence Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD) [ 1 ]. LAUNDRY BEAR’s targeting is almost certainly to gather sensitive information for the Russian Federation, with these actors primarily focusing on the covert acquisition of email data. Previous campaigns indicated LAUNDRY BEAR relied on unsophisticated initial access techniques—including…
