Jenkins Active Choices Plugin 2.5.6 and earlier does not escape the parameter name of reactive parameters and dynamic reference parameters. This results in a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exploitable by attackers with Job/Configure permission. Jenkins Active Choices Plugin 2.5.7 escapes references to parameter names.
Recommended action: Upgrade to 2.5.7 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
Jenkins Active Choices Plugin 2.5.2 and earlier does not escape reference parameter values. This results in a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exploitable by attackers with Job/Configure permission. Jenkins Active Choices Plugin 2.5.3 escapes reference parameter values.
Recommended action: Upgrade to 2.5.3 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.

Active Choices Plugin 2.5 escapes the name of build parameters and applies the configured markup formatter to the description of build parameters.
Recommended action: Upgrade to 2.5 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
Jenkins Active Choices Plugin 2.4 and earlier does not escape List and Map return values of sandboxed scripts for Reactive Reference Parameters. This results in a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exploitable by attackers with Job/Configure permission. This issue is caused by an incomplete fix for SECURITY-470. Active Choices Plugin 2.5 escapes all legal return values of sandboxed scripts.
Recommended action: Upgrade to 2.5 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
Jenkins Active Choices plugin version 1.5.3 and earlier allowed users with Job/Configure permission to provide arbitrary HTML to be shown on the 'Build With Parameters' page through the 'Active Choices Reactive Reference Parameter' type. This could include, for example, arbitrary JavaScript. Active Choices now sanitizes the HTML inserted on the 'Build With Parameters' page if and only if the script is executed in a sandbox. As unsandboxed scripts are subject to administrator approval, it is up to the administrator to allow or disallow problematic script output.
Recommended action: Upgrade to 2.0 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
