python-bugzilla has improper validation of X.509 certificates

    CVE-2013-2191 · GHSA-2q4h-27m7-rj67

    Affected
    • PyPI python-bugzilla < 0.9.0
    Fixed in
    0.9.0· Vendor fix available
    Issue
python-bugzilla before 0.9.0 does not validate X.509 certificates, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof Bugzilla servers via a crafted certificate.

Recommended action: Upgrade to 0.9.0 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
