    Remote code execution in ruby-jss

    CVE-2021-33575 · GHSA-vmfh-c547-v45h

    Affected
    • RubyGems ruby-jss < 1.6.0
    Fixed in
    1.6.0· Vendor fix available
    Issue
The Pixar ruby-jss gem before 1.6.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code because of the Plist gem's documented behavior of using Marshal.load during XML document processing.

Recommended action: Upgrade to 1.6.0 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
