Jenkins SAML Plugin 4.583.vc68232f7018a and earlier does not implement a replay cache. This allows attackers able to obtain information about the SAML authentication flow between a user’s web browser and Jenkins to replay those requests, authenticating to Jenkins as that user. SAML Plugin 4.583.585.v22ccc1139f55 implements a replay cache that rejects replayed requests.
Recommended action: Upgrade to 4.583.585.v22ccc1139f55 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
An extension point in Jenkins allows selectively disabling cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection for specific URLs. SAML Plugin implements this extension point for the URL that users are redirected to after login. In Jenkins SAML Plugin 2.0.7 and earlier this implementation is too permissive, allowing attackers to craft URLs that would bypass the CSRF protection of any target URL.\n\nThis vulnerability was originally introduced in Jenkins SAML Plugin 1.1.3. Jenkins SAML Plugin 2.0.8 restricts which URLs it disables cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection for to the one URL that needs it.
Recommended action: Upgrade to 2.0.8 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
A session fixation vulnerability exists in Jenkins SAML Plugin 1.0.6 and earlier in SamlSecurityRealm.java that allows unauthorized attackers to impersonate another users if they can control the pre-authentication session. SAML Plugin 1.0.7 invalidates the previous session during login and creates a new one.
Recommended action: Upgrade to 1.0.7 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
