Redox UEFI Safe API can cause heap-buffer-overflow
GHSA-58xc-hpvq-8473
- Affected
- crates.io redox_uefi_std >= 0.1.8, < 0.1.14
- Fixed in
- 0.1.14· Vendor fix available
- Issue
- ffi::nstr() should be marked unsafe, since a pointer to a buffer without a trailing 0 value will cause a heap buffer overflow.
Recommended action: Upgrade to 0.1.14 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
