    Issue
    An exponential ReDoS (Regular Expression Denial of Service) can be triggered in the markdown-link-extractor npm package, when an attacker is able to supply arbitrary input to the module's exported function

    Recommended action: Upgrade to 4.0.1 or 3.0.2 by release line, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
