    Cross-Site Scripting in jingo

    GHSA-mpjf-8cmf-p789

    Affected
    • npm jingo < 1.9.2
    Fixed in
    1.9.2· Vendor fix available
    Issue
Versions of jingo prior to 1.9.2 are vulnerable to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). If malicious input such as <scriptalert(1)</script is placed in the content of a wiki page, Jingo does not properly encode the input and it is executed instead of rendered as text. Recommendation Upgrade to version 1.9.2

Recommended action: Upgrade to 1.9.2 or later, then redeploy and verify.A vendor fix does not resolve your finding until you verify it in your own systems.
