Source description

sol-wallet-adapter takes the unscoped name of @project-serum/sol-wallet-adapter and has no functional code. Its preinstall script runs `node preinstall.js` on npm install, which POSTs the machine's hostname, the OS username and the local time to the Discord webhook `https://canary.discord.com/api/webhooks/1566232728179843243/pM5rDIrCRrEpQRbA7ibaiQk1XOQlIftmBacA5s8jD8NvXn5W-rS832DOWHQS-G-j3N6U` as "PC Notifier". Versions 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 were published on 2026-11-01 by the npm account cutekitten05; after they were removed, the account bigdevin55 re-created the name and published 1.0.7 with the same script on 2026-11-02, alongside contracts-upgradeable. --- _-= Per source details. ## Affected components
- npm sol-wallet-adapter: affected every version

## Suggested inspection (read-only)
- `npm ls sol-wallet-adapter --all`: lists every installed copy and version, including transitive ones. Run in the project root after `npm ci`.

## Supported action
No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything.

## Required regression checks
- Run the test suite and a production build.
- Exercise the features that depend on sol-wallet-adapter.
- Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed.

## Rollback considerations
- Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward.

## Unresolved questions
- Which deployments run an affected version?
- Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority.
- Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production.
