Source description

As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.

`wallet-tracking` is a PyPI cryptocurrency-wallet information stealer. Its `track_private_key_import()` function takes a private key supplied by the caller and POSTs it in a Discord embed to a hardcoded webhook, with no redaction unless the caller passes `include_private_key=False`. The package itself reads no files or environment variables, and its only network call is a POST to the publisher's Discord webhook, which rotates between releases. Only 1.0.3 through 1.0.6 contain the stealer; 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 ship no package module. --- _-= Per source details. Do not edit below this line.=-_

## Affected components
- PyPI wallet-tracking: affected >= 1.0.3

## Suggested inspection (read-only)
- `python -m pip show wallet-tracking`: prints the installed version. Run with the environment that serves production active.

## Supported action
No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything.

## Required regression checks
- Run the test suite and a production build.
- Exercise the features that depend on wallet-tracking.
- Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed.

## Rollback considerations
- Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward.

## Unresolved questions
- Which deployments run an affected version?
- Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority.
- Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production.
