The capability is the product and is openly documented in the package description and README. The channel is started only by the user explicitly invoking the `factiii-runner start` CLI; there is no install or import lifecycle hook that brings it up automatically, and no boot/login persistence is installed. Authentication uses a pairing JWT stored in config.json plus a per-session FACTIII_SECRETS_TOKEN, and the bundled factiii-secrets daemon requires per-command owner authorization before executing (declining with an explicit owner-refused message). ## Affected components
- npm @factiii/runner: affected >= 0.28.0, <= 0.28.0; >= 0.33.0, <= 0.33.0; >= 0.35.0, <= 0.35.0; >= 0.26.2, <= 0.26.2; >= 0.16.0, <= 0.16.0; >= 0.22.0, <= 0.22.0; >= 0.26.0, <= 0.26.0; >= 0.18.1, <= 0.18.1; >= 0.20.1, <= 0.20.1; >= 0.18.0, <= 0.18.0; >= 0.26.1, <= 0.26.1; >= 0.22.1, <= 0.22.1; >= 0.17.0, <= 0.17.0; >= 0.20.0, <= 0.20.0; >= 0.19.0, <= 0.19.0; >= 0.23.2, <= 0.23.2; >= 0.21.0, <= 0.21.0; >= 0.17.1, <= 0.17.1; >= 0.25.0, <= 0.25.0; >= 0.36.0, <= 0.36.0; >= 0.37.0, <= 0.37.0

## Suggested inspection (read-only)
- `npm ls @factiii/runner --all`: lists every installed copy and version, including transitive ones. Run in the project root after `npm ci`.

## Supported action
No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything.

## Required regression checks
- Run the test suite and a production build.
- Exercise the features that depend on @factiii/runner.
- Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed.

## Rollback considerations
- Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward.

## Unresolved questions
- Which deployments run an affected version?
- Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority.
- Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production.
