What to do
Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (codefloe.com/crowci/crow/v6 6.4.0), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.

Source description
As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.
In codefloe.com/crowci/crow/v6 before 6.4.0, user account lookup during forge login is not scoped to the authenticating forge. An account on one forge matches an existing user on another forge via forge remote ID collision or username collision. On instances with multiple configured forges, an attacker can take over arbitrary Crow accounts by registering matching credentials on any connected forge.

# Patch Next advisory brief: go-2026-6216 Advisory: Cross-forge account takeover on login in codefloe.com/crowci/crow/v6 IDs: go-2026-6216 Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/go-2026-6216 (revision 1, source checked 23 Oct 2026, 22:04 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: Unrated Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: codefloe.com/crowci/crow/v6 6.4.0. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Go codefloe.com/crowci/crow/v6: affected < 6.4.0; fixed in 6.4.0 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Go codefloe.com/crowci/crow/v6: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on codefloe.com/crowci/crow/v6. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6216 (OSV record GO-2026-6216 lists affected ranges: Go codefloe.com/crowci/crow/v6 >=0 <6.4.0 (fixed)) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
