Summary Presto JDBC is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) when connecting a remote Presto server. An attacker can construct a redirect response that Presto JDBC client will follow and view sensitive information from highly sensitive internal servers or perform a local port scan. Details Presto JDBC client uses OkHttp to send POST /v1/statement and GET /v1/info requests to the remote Presto server. And OkHttp will follow 301 and 302 redirect by default. In addition, JDBC will manually follow 307 and 308 redirect. Therefore, if a malicious server returns a 30x redirect, JDBC client will follow the redirect and cause SSRF. For unexpected responses, JDBC will put the response body into the error. So the response of the internal server will be leaked if the server also returns the error directly to the user. The relevant code is in file path /presto-client/src/main/java/com/facebook/presto/client/StatementClientV1.java and function StatementClientV1 . The flowchart is as…

# Patch Next advisory brief: GHSA-xm7x-f3w2-4hjm Advisory: Presto JDBC Server-Side Request Forgery by redirect IDs: GHSA-xm7x-f3w2-4hjm Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/ghsa-xm7x-f3w2-4hjm (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 16:14 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: High (CVSS 7.6) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor response not established. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Maven com.facebook.presto:presto-jdbc: affected <= 0.283 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Maven com.facebook.presto:presto-jdbc: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on com.facebook.presto:presto-jdbc. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-xm7x-f3w2-4hjm (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-xm7x-f3w2-4hjm lists affected ranges: Maven com.facebook.presto:presto-jdbc >=0 <=0.283) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
