Summary The plugin/Live/test.php endpoint accepts a URL via the statsURL parameter and fetches it server-side using filegetcontents(), curlexec(), or wget, returning the full response content in the HTML output. The only validation is a trivial regex (/^http/) that does not block requests to internal/private IP ranges or cloud metadata endpoints. The codebase provides isSSRFSafeURL() which blocks private IPs and resolves DNS to prevent rebinding, but this endpoint does not call it. An authenticated admin can read responses from cloud metadata services, internal network services, and localhost endpoints. Details The vulnerable code path is in plugin/Live/test.php: User input (line 11): The regex /^http/ only verifies the URL starts with "http" — it does not validate the host, resolve DNS, or check against private/reserved IP ranges. Sink — filegetcontents (line 58-68): Sink — curlexec (line 73-94): Sink — wget (line 114): All three code paths output the full response content to the…

This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: Medium (CVSS 4.9) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor response not established. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Packagist wwbn/avideo: affected <= 26.0 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Packagist wwbn/avideo: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on wwbn/avideo. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-wxjx-r2j2-96fx (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-wxjx-r2j2-96fx lists affected ranges: Packagist wwbn/avideo >=0 <=26.0) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
