Source description

As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.

Affected versions of nodeload-nmickuli resolve relative file paths, resulting in a directory traversal vulnerability. A malicious actor can use this vulnerability to access files outside of the intended directory root, which may result in the disclosure of private files on the vulnerable system. Example request: Recommendation No patch is available for this vulnerability. It is recommended that the package is only used for local development, and if the functionality is needed for production, a different package is used instead.

## Affected components
- npm nodeload-nmickuli: affected every version

## Suggested inspection (read-only)
- `npm ls nodeload-nmickuli --all`: lists every installed copy and version, including transitive ones. Run in the project root after `npm ci`.

## Supported action
No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything.

- Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority.
