NL Portal: IDOR allows any authenticated user to complete and tamper with another user's taak

CVE-2026-49464GHSA-6h3c-r723-7fx3

What to do

Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (nl.nl-portal:taak 3.0.1), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.

This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Source description

As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.

Impact In versions from 1.5.0 up to and including 3.0.0, any authenticated portal user could complete and tamper with another user's open task by submitting it on their behalf. The task submission endpoint accepted a task ID and a payload, but it never checked whether the task actually belonged to the user making the call. An attacker who held a valid login (a normal burger OAuth token) and who knew or guessed another user's task ID could: - Mark someone else's task as completed. - Overwrite the data submitted with that task — the verzondendata — with arbitrary input of their choosing. - Receive the full task back in the GraphQL response, including the form data that the legitimate owner had already entered. This leaks personal data belonging to the original user. Functionally this means a malicious authenticated user could submit and alter forms in any other user's name, while at the same time reading what that user had previously filled in. Both the integrity of submitted data and…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2026-49464

Advisory: NL Portal: IDOR allows any authenticated user to complete and tamper with another user's taak
IDs: CVE-2026-49464, GHSA-6h3c-r723-7fx3
Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2026-49464 (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 16:54 UTC)
Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected.
Severity: High (CVSS 8.1)
Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV.
Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: nl.nl-portal:taak 3.0.1. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed.

## Affected components
- Maven nl.nl-portal:taak: affected >= 1.5.0, <= 3.0.0; fixed in 3.0.1

## Suggested inspection (read-only)
- Maven nl.nl-portal:taak: check the installed version with your package manager.

## Supported action
Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version.

## Required regression checks
- Run the test suite and a production build.
- Exercise the features that depend on nl.nl-portal:taak.
- Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed.

## Rollback considerations
- Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward.

## Unresolved questions
- Which deployments run an affected version?
- Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority.
- Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production.

## Sources
- Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-6h3c-r723-7fx3 (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-6h3c-r723-7fx3 lists affected ranges: Maven nl.nl-portal:taak >=1.5.0 <=3.0.0)

Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
