Source description

As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.

Summary An unauthenticated attacker (Alice) connects to FUXA's Socket.IO endpoint and emits a device-webapi-request event whose property.address field names an arbitrary URL. FUXA's DEVICEWEBAPIREQUEST handler at server/runtime/index.js:296 calls axios.get(address) server-side and broadcasts the full response body back on the same event via io.emit. The companion handler DEVICEPROPERTY at server/runtime/index.js:153 has the same miss against OPC UA and ODBC endpoints. Both handlers skip the isSocketWriteAuthorized() check that the other write-capable events (DEVICEVALUES at line 182, DEVICEENABLE at line 358) call. Alice reads cloud instance metadata, scans internal services, and connects to any OPC UA server or ODBC database the FUXA host can reach, then receives the results. Details Vulnerable handlers: server/runtime/index.js:153-171, 296-316: Sink: server/runtime/devices/httprequest/index.js:471 for the webapi path: Alice fully controls property.address, and io.emit echoes the…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2026-47719

Advisory: FUXA: Unauthenticated SSRF via Socket.IO DEVICE_WEBAPI_REQUEST and DEVICE_PROPERTY with response reading
IDs: CVE-2026-47719, GHSA-w86f-rf9w-h3x6
Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2026-47719 (revision 2, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 12:53 UTC)
Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected.
Severity: High (CVSS 8.2)
Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV.
Vendor response: Vendor response not established. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed.

## Affected components
- npm fuxa-server: affected <= 1.1.14-1243

## Suggested inspection (read-only)
- `npm ls fuxa-server --all`: lists every installed copy and version, including transitive ones. Run in the project root after `npm ci`.

## Supported action
No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything.

## Required regression checks
- Run the test suite and a production build.
- Exercise the features that depend on fuxa-server.
- Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed.

## Rollback considerations
- Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward.

## Unresolved questions
- Which deployments run an affected version?
- Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority.
- Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production.
