PraisonAI Platform has a cross-workspace IDOR + member-role privilege escalation
CVE-2026-47407GHSA-h8q5-cp56-rr65
What to do
Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (praisonai-platform 0.1.4), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.
This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Source description
As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.
Summary The Platform server exposes resources under /api/v1/workspaces/{workspaceid}/... and protects them with a requireworkspacemember(workspaceid) FastAPI dependency. The dependency only checks that the caller is a member of the workspaceid in the URL prefix. The route handlers then look up the inner resource (agentid, issueid, projectid, labelid, commentid, dependencyid) by primary key alone. The resource's own workspaceid is never compared to the URL's workspaceid. A user can therefore put their own workspace in the URL prefix and any other workspace's resource ID in the path. The auth check passes, since they really are a member of the prefix workspace. The service then returns the cross-tenant resource for read, update, or delete. There is a second bug in the member-management routes (addmember, updatememberrole, removemember, updateworkspace, deleteworkspace). Each one inherits the default minrole="member" from requireworkspacemember. Any basic member can therefore promote…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2026-47407 Advisory: PraisonAI Platform has a cross-workspace IDOR + member-role privilege escalation IDs: CVE-2026-47407, GHSA-h8q5-cp56-rr65 Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2026-47407 (revision 4, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 13:41 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: Critical (CVSS 9.4) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: praisonai-platform 0.1.4. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - PyPI praisonai-platform: affected <= 0.1.2; fixed in 0.1.4 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - `python -m pip show praisonai-platform`: prints the installed version. Run with the environment that serves production active. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on praisonai-platform. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-h8q5-cp56-rr65 (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-h8q5-cp56-rr65 lists affected ranges: PyPI praisonai-platform >=0 <=0.1.2) - Verified: https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-h8q5-cp56-rr65 (OSV record GHSA-h8q5-cp56-rr65 lists affected ranges: PyPI praisonai-platform >=0 <0.1.4 (fixed)) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
