What to do
Vendor response not established. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check back for a fix.
This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Source description
As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.
Summary The uploadViaURL path in the v1/v2 attachment API did not enforce NCATTACHMENTFIELDSIZE against the remote content-length or against the response stream. An authenticated user (Editor+) could direct the server to download arbitrarily large files, exhausting disk space and causing denial of service. Details In packages/nocodb/src/services/attachments.service.ts, the HEAD probe read content-length but never compared it to NCATTACHMENTFIELDSIZE; the subsequent storageAdapter.fileCreateByUrl() performed the download without maxContentLength. The v3 service (v3/data-attachment-v3.service.ts) already enforced the limit, but the v1/v2 endpoints (POST /api/v1/db/storage/upload-by-url, POST /api/v2/storage/upload-by-url) did not. This is distinct from GHSA-xr7v-j379-34v9 (blind SSRF via HEAD) — same code area, different class. Impact - Authenticated DoS via disk exhaustion. Editor role suffices. - Cascading failures once disk fills: blocked DB writes, log rotation, application crash.…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2026-46551 Advisory: NocoDB: Missing File Size Enforcement in Upload-by-URL Allows Denial of Service via Disk Exhaustion IDs: CVE-2026-46551, GHSA-99vc-2jx2-688p Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2026-46551 (revision 2, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 12:57 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: Medium (CVSS 6.5) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor response not established. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - npm nocodb: affected <= 0.301.3 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - `npm ls nocodb --all`: lists every installed copy and version, including transitive ones. Run in the project root after `npm ci`. ## Supported action No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on nocodb. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-99vc-2jx2-688p (OSV record GHSA-99vc-2jx2-688p lists affected ranges: npm nocodb >=0 <=0.301.3) - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-99vc-2jx2-688p (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-99vc-2jx2-688p lists affected ranges: npm nocodb >=0 <=0.301.3) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
