PraisonAI has an SSRF bypass
CVE-2026-44335GHSA-q9pw-vmhh-384g
What to do
Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (praisonaiagents 1.6.32), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.
This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Summary The URL checking logic in PraisonAI has a logical flaw that could be bypassed by attackers, leading to SSRF attacks. Details The current PraisonAI project uses validateurl to validate the input URL. The main logic is to perform security checks on the host portion of the URL extracted by urlparse to prevent SSRF attacks. <img width="1290" height="1145" alt="QQ20260424-151256-24-1" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/d5f16b74-5ad2-444f-8600-b05f78a4b769" / However, there are indeed differences in parsing between urlparse and the library that actually sends the request. Currently, almost all application scenarios in this project involve first using validateurl for URL validation, and then using getsession().get to send the request. <img width="1143" height="740" alt="QQ20260424-151437-24-2" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/b1bf6ec2-d32a-4dac-b814-da819e8d3c83" / In reality, its underlying mechanism is requests.get. <img width="1042" height="576"…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2026-44335 Advisory: PraisonAI has an SSRF bypass IDs: CVE-2026-44335, GHSA-q9pw-vmhh-384g Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2026-44335 (revision 3, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 13:41 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: High (CVSS 7.7) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: praisonaiagents 1.6.32. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - PyPI praisonaiagents: affected <= 1.6.31; fixed in 1.6.32 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - `python -m pip show praisonaiagents`: prints the installed version. Run with the environment that serves production active. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on praisonaiagents. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-q9pw-vmhh-384g (OSV record GHSA-q9pw-vmhh-384g lists affected ranges: PyPI praisonaiagents >=0 <1.6.32 (fixed)) - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-q9pw-vmhh-384g (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-q9pw-vmhh-384g lists affected ranges: PyPI praisonaiagents >=0 <=1.6.31) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
