Impact Any Juju controller since 3.2.0. An attacker with only route-ability to the target juju controller Dqlite cluster endpoint may join the Dqlite cluster, read and modify all information, including escalating privileges, open firewall ports etc. This is due to not checking the client certificate, additionally, the client does not check the server's certificate (MITM attack possible), so anything goes. https://github.com/juju/juju/blob/001318f51ac456602aef20b123684f1eeeae9a77/internal/database/node.go#L312-L324 PoC Using the tool referenced below. ## Affected components
- Go github.com/juju/juju: affected <= 0.0.0-20260401092550-1c1ac1922b57

## Suggested inspection (read-only)
- Go github.com/juju/juju: check the installed version with your package manager.

## Supported action
No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything.

## Required regression checks
- Run the test suite and a production build.
- Exercise the features that depend on github.com/juju/juju.
- Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed.

## Rollback considerations
- Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward.

## Unresolved questions
- Which deployments run an affected version?
- Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority.
- Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production.
