NocoBase Has SQL Injection via template variable substitution in workflow SQL node
CVE-2026-34825GHSA-vx58-fwwq-5g8j
What to do
Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (@nocobase/plugin-workflow-sql 2.0.30), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.
This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Summary NocoBase <= 2.0.8 plugin-workflow-sql substitutes template variables directly into raw SQL strings via getParsedValue() without parameterization or escaping. Any user who triggers a workflow containing a SQL node with template variables from user-controlled data can inject arbitrary SQL. Affected Versions - Affected: all versions through 2.0.8 Details The SQLInstruction in packages/plugins/@nocobase/plugin-workflow-sql/src/server/SQLInstruction.ts line 28 processes SQL templates: Then executes the resulting string directly: getParsedValue() performs simple string substitution of {{$context.data.fieldName}} placeholders with values from the workflow trigger data. No escaping, quoting, or parameterized binding is applied. When an admin creates a SQL node with a template like: Any user who triggers the workflow with a crafted value can break out of the string literal and inject arbitrary SQL. Proof of Concept 1. Login as admin 2. Create a collection-trigger workflow on the users…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2026-34825 Advisory: NocoBase Has SQL Injection via template variable substitution in workflow SQL node IDs: CVE-2026-34825, GHSA-vx58-fwwq-5g8j Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2026-34825 (revision 3, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 12:51 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: High (CVSS 8.5) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: @nocobase/plugin-workflow-sql 2.0.30. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - npm @nocobase/plugin-workflow-sql: affected <= 2.0.29; fixed in 2.0.30 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - `npm ls @nocobase/plugin-workflow-sql --all`: lists every installed copy and version, including transitive ones. Run in the project root after `npm ci`. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on @nocobase/plugin-workflow-sql. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vx58-fwwq-5g8j (OSV record GHSA-vx58-fwwq-5g8j lists affected ranges: npm @nocobase/plugin-workflow-sql >=0 <2.0.30 (fixed)) - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-vx58-fwwq-5g8j (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-vx58-fwwq-5g8j lists affected ranges: npm @nocobase/plugin-workflow-sql >=0 <=2.0.29) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
