Langflow is Missing Ownership Verification in API Key Deletion (IDOR)
CVE-2026-33053GHSA-rf6x-r45m-xv3w
What to do
Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (langflow 1.9.0), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.
This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Detection Method: Kolega.dev Deep Code Scan | Attribute | Value | |---|---| | Location | src/backend/base/langflow/api/v1/apikey.py:44-53 | | Practical Exploitability | High | | Developer Approver | faizan@kolega.ai | Description The deleteapikeyroute() endpoint accepts an apikeyid path parameter and deletes it with only a generic authentication check (getcurrentactiveuser dependency). However, the deleteapikey() CRUD function does NOT verify that the API key belongs to the current user before deletion. Affected Code Evidence In crud.py lines 44-49, deleteapikey() retrieves the API key by ID and deletes it without checking if the key belongs to the authenticated user. The endpoint also doesn't pass the currentuser to the delete function for verification. Impact An authenticated attacker can enumerate and delete API keys belonging to other users by guessing or discovering their API key IDs. This allows account takeover, denial of service, and disruption of other users' integrations.…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2026-33053 Advisory: Langflow is Missing Ownership Verification in API Key Deletion (IDOR) IDs: CVE-2026-33053, GHSA-rf6x-r45m-xv3w Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2026-33053 (revision 3, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 13:44 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: High (CVSS 7.1) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: langflow 1.9.0. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - PyPI langflow: affected < 1.9.0; fixed in 1.9.0 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - `python -m pip show langflow`: prints the installed version. Run with the environment that serves production active. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on langflow. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-rf6x-r45m-xv3w (OSV record GHSA-rf6x-r45m-xv3w lists affected ranges: PyPI langflow >=0 <1.9.0 (fixed)) - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-rf6x-r45m-xv3w (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-rf6x-r45m-xv3w lists affected ranges: PyPI langflow >=0 <1.9.0) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
