WeKnora has Broken Access Control - Cross-Tenant Data Exposure
CVE-2026-30859GHSA-2f4c-vrjq-rcgv
What to do
Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (github.com/Tencent/WeKnora 0.2.12), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.
This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Source description
As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.
Summary A broken access control vulnerability in the database query tool allows any authenticated tenant to read sensitive data belonging to other tenants, including API keys, model configurations, and private messages. The application fails to enforce tenant isolation on critical tables (models, messages, embeddings), enabling unauthorized cross-tenant data access with user-level authentication privileges. --- Details Root Cause The vulnerability exists due to a mismatch between the queryable tables and the tables protected by tenant isolation in internal/utils/inject.go. Tenant-isolated tables (protected by automatic WHERE tenantid = X clause): Queryable tables (allowed by WithAllowedTables() in WithSecurityDefaults()): Gap: The tables messages, embeddings, and models are queryable but NOT in the tenant isolation list. This means queries against these tables do NOT receive the automatic WHERE tenantid = X filtering. Vulnerable Code File: internal/utils/inject.go File:…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2026-30859 Advisory: WeKnora has Broken Access Control - Cross-Tenant Data Exposure IDs: CVE-2026-30859, GHSA-2f4c-vrjq-rcgv Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2026-30859 (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 15:15 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: High (CVSS 7.5) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: github.com/Tencent/WeKnora 0.2.12. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Go github.com/Tencent/WeKnora: affected <= 0.2.11; fixed in 0.2.12 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Go github.com/Tencent/WeKnora: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on github.com/Tencent/WeKnora. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-2f4c-vrjq-rcgv (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-2f4c-vrjq-rcgv lists affected ranges: Go github.com/Tencent/WeKnora >=0 <=0.2.11) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
