WeKnora is Vulnerable to SSRF via Redirection

CVE-2026-30247GHSA-595m-wc8g-6qgc

What to do

Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (github.com/Tencent/WeKnora 0.2.12), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.

This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Source description

As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.

Summary The application's "Import document via URL" feature is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) through HTTP redirects. While the backend implements comprehensive URL validation (blocking private IPs, loopback addresses, reserved hostnames, and cloud metadata endpoints), it fails to validate redirect targets. An attacker can bypass all protections by using a redirect chain, forcing the server to access internal services. Additionally, Docker-specific internal addresses like host.docker.internal are not blocked. Details The /api/v1/knowledge-bases/{id}/knowledge/url endpoint validates the initial URL but follows HTTP redirects without re-validating the destination. This allows attackers to: 1. Submit a URL to an attacker-controlled domain (passes validation) 2. Have that domain respond with a 307 redirect to an internal service 3. The backend automatically follows the redirect without checking if the destination is restricted 4. The internal service response is exposed…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2026-30247

Advisory: WeKnora is Vulnerable to SSRF via Redirection
IDs: CVE-2026-30247, GHSA-595m-wc8g-6qgc
Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2026-30247 (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 15:15 UTC)
Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected.
Severity: Medium (CVSS 5.9)
Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV.
Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: github.com/Tencent/WeKnora 0.2.12. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed.

## Affected components
- Go github.com/Tencent/WeKnora: affected <= 0.2.11; fixed in 0.2.12

## Suggested inspection (read-only)
- Go github.com/Tencent/WeKnora: check the installed version with your package manager.

## Supported action
Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version.

## Required regression checks
- Run the test suite and a production build.
- Exercise the features that depend on github.com/Tencent/WeKnora.
- Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed.

## Rollback considerations
- Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward.

## Unresolved questions
- Which deployments run an affected version?
- Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority.
- Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production.
