DPanel has an arbitrary file deletion vulnerability in /api/common/attach/delete interface
CVE-2025-66292GHSA-vh2x-fw87-4fxq
What to do
Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (github.com/donknap/dpanel 1.9.2), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.
This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Source description
As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.
Summary DPanel has an arbitrary file deletion vulnerability in the /api/common/attach/delete interface. Authenticated users can delete arbitrary files on the server via path traversal. Details When a user logs into the administrative backend, this interface can be used to delete files. The vulnerability lies in the Delete function within the app/common/http/controller/attach.go file. The path parameter submitted by the user is directly passed to storage.Local{}.GetSaveRealPath and subsequently to os.Remove without proper sanitization or checking for path traversal characters (../). The vulnerable code snippet: <img width="487" height="363" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/b811de6f-1df1-49f3-af78-ea77bc420804" / And the helper function in common/service/storage/local.go uses filepath.Join, which resolves ../ but does not enforce a chroot/jail: <img width="564" height="66" alt="image"…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2025-66292 Advisory: DPanel has an arbitrary file deletion vulnerability in /api/common/attach/delete interface IDs: CVE-2025-66292, GHSA-vh2x-fw87-4fxq Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2025-66292 (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 15:14 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: High (CVSS 8.1) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: github.com/donknap/dpanel 1.9.2. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Go github.com/donknap/dpanel: affected < 1.9.2; fixed in 1.9.2 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Go github.com/donknap/dpanel: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on github.com/donknap/dpanel. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-vh2x-fw87-4fxq (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-vh2x-fw87-4fxq lists affected ranges: Go github.com/donknap/dpanel >=0 <1.9.2) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
