Karmada Dashboard API Unauthorized Access Vulnerability
CVE-2025-62714GHSA-5qjg-9mjh-4r92
What to do
Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (github.com/karmada-io/dashboard 0.2.0), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.
This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Source description
As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.
Impact This is an authentication bypass vulnerability in the Karmada Dashboard API. The backend API endpoints (e.g., /api/v1/secret, /api/v1/service) did not enforce authentication, allowing unauthenticated users to access sensitive cluster information such as Secrets and Services directly. Although the web UI required a valid JWT for access, the API itself remained exposed to direct requests without any authentication checks. Any user or entity with network access to the Karmada Dashboard service could exploit this vulnerability to retrieve sensitive data. Patches The issue has been fixed in Karmada Dashboard v0.2.0. This release enforces authentication for all API endpoints. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to version v0.2.0 or later as soon as possible. Workarounds If upgrading is not immediately feasible, users can mitigate the risk by: - Restricting network access to the Karmada Dashboard service using Kubernetes Network Policies, firewall rules, or ingress controls. -…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2025-62714 Advisory: Karmada Dashboard API Unauthorized Access Vulnerability IDs: CVE-2025-62714, GHSA-5qjg-9mjh-4r92 Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2025-62714 (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 15:24 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: Unrated Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: github.com/karmada-io/dashboard 0.2.0. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Go github.com/karmada-io/dashboard: affected < 0.2.0; fixed in 0.2.0 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Go github.com/karmada-io/dashboard: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on github.com/karmada-io/dashboard. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-5qjg-9mjh-4r92 (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-5qjg-9mjh-4r92 lists affected ranges: Go github.com/karmada-io/dashboard >=0 <0.2.0) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
