Source description

Dear Sirs and Madams, I would like to report a business logic error vulnerability that I discovered during my recent penetration test on Froxlor. Specifically, I identified an issue where it was possible to submit the registration form with the essential fields, such as the username and password, left intentionally blank. This inadvertent omission allowed for a bypass of the mandatory field requirements established by the system. The surname, family name AND company name all of them can be left blank. I believe addressing this vulnerability is crucial to ensure the security and integrity of the Froxlor platform. Thank you for your attention to this matter. This action served as a means to bypass the mandatory field requirements. Lets see (please have a look at the Video - attachment). ---------------- as you can see i was able to let the username and second name blank. https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/80028768/289675319-81ae8ebe-1308-4ee3-bedb-43cdc40da474.mp4 Lets see…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2023-50256 Advisory: Froxlor username/surname AND company field Bypass IDs: CVE-2023-50256, GHSA-625g-fm5w-w7w4 Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2023-50256 (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 14:14 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: High (CVSS 7.5) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: froxlor/froxlor 2.1.2. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Packagist froxlor/froxlor: affected <= 2.1.1; fixed in 2.1.2 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Packagist froxlor/froxlor: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on froxlor/froxlor. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-625g-fm5w-w7w4 (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-625g-fm5w-w7w4 lists affected ranges: Packagist froxlor/froxlor >=0 <=2.1.1) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
