What to do
Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (org.rundeck:rundeckapp 4.17.3), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.
This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Source description
As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.
Access to two URLs used in both Rundeck Open Source and Process Automation products could allow authenticated users to access the URL path, which provides a list of job names and groups for any project, without the necessary authorization checks. The affected URLs are: - http[s]://[host]/context/rdJob/ - http[s]://[host]/context/api//incubator/jobs The output of these endpoints only exposes the name of job groups and the jobs contained within the specified project. The output is read-only and the access does not allow changes to the information. Impact Rundeck, Process Automation version 4.17.0 up to 4.17.2 Patches Patched versions: 4.17.3 Workarounds Access to two URLs used in either Rundeck Open Source or Process Automation products could be blocked at a load balancer level. - http[s]://host/context/rdJob/ - http[s]://host/context/api//incubator/jobs For more information If you have any questions or comments about this advisory: Open an issue in our forums Enterprise Customers can…

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2023-47112 Advisory: Authenticated users can view job names and groups they do not have authorization to view IDs: CVE-2023-47112, GHSA-xvmv-4rx6-x6jx Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2023-47112 (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 16:19 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: Medium (CVSS 4.3) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: org.rundeck:rundeckapp 4.17.3. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Maven org.rundeck:rundeckapp: affected >= 4.17.0, < 4.17.3; fixed in 4.17.3 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Maven org.rundeck:rundeckapp: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on org.rundeck:rundeckapp. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-xvmv-4rx6-x6jx (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-xvmv-4rx6-x6jx lists affected ranges: Maven org.rundeck:rundeckapp >=4.17.0 <4.17.3) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
