Source description
As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.
Jenkins sets the Content-Security-Policy header to static files served by Jenkins (specifically DirectoryBrowserSupport), such as workspaces, /userContent, or archived artifacts, unless a Resource Root URL is specified. 360 FireLine Plugin 1.7.2 and earlier globally disables the Content-Security-Policy header for static files served by Jenkins whenever the 'Execute FireLine' build step is executed, if the option 'Open access to HTML with JS or CSS' is checked. This allows cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks by users with the ability to control files in workspaces, archived artifacts, etc. Jenkins instances with Resource Root URL configured are unaffected.

Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor response not established. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Maven org.jenkins-ci.plugins.plugin:fireline: affected <= 1.7.2 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Maven org.jenkins-ci.plugins.plugin:fireline: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on org.jenkins-ci.plugins.plugin:fireline. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-7rrj-hqv6-fvpp (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-7rrj-hqv6-fvpp lists affected ranges: Maven org.jenkins-ci.plugins.plugin:fireline >=0 <=1.7.2) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
