List of order ids, number, items total and token value exposed for unauthorized uses via new API

CVE-2021-32720GHSA-rpxh-vg2x-526v

What to do

Vendor fix available. Upgrade each affected package to the fixed version on its release line (sylius/sylius 1.9.5), redeploy, then verify what is actually installed.

This page has no inventory attached, so it cannot say whether you are affected. A vendor fix is not proof that your deployment is fixed.

Source description

As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.

Impact Part of the details (order ID, order number, items total, and token value) of all placed orders were exposed to unauthorized users. If exploited properly, a few additional information like the number of items in the cart and the date of the shipping may be fetched as well. This data seems to not be crucial nor is personal data, however, could be used for sociotechnical attacks or may expose a few details about shop condition to the third parties. The data possible to aggregate are the number of processed orders or their value in the moment of time. Patches The problem has been patched at Sylius 1.9.5 and 1.10.0 Workarounds There are a few ways to fix this without updating the code. The first possible solution is to hide the problematic endpoints behind the firewall from not logged in users. In order to achieve it one has to add the configuration in config/packages/security.yaml: This would put only the order list under the firewall and allow only authorized users to access it.…

IDs: CVE-2021-32720, GHSA-rpxh-vg2x-526v
Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2021-32720 (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 14:01 UTC)

Severity: Medium (CVSS 5.3)
Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV.
Vendor response: Vendor fix available; fixed versions by package: sylius/sylius 1.9.5. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed.

## Affected components
- Packagist sylius/sylius: affected >= 1.9.0, < 1.9.5; fixed in 1.9.5

## Suggested inspection (read-only)
- Packagist sylius/sylius: check the installed version with your package manager.

## Supported action
Upgrade each affected component to a fixed version on its release line. For a transitive dependency, upgrade the parent package or add an override or constraint, then regenerate the lockfile. Redeploy every environment that ran an affected version.

## Required regression checks
- Run the test suite and a production build.
- Exercise the features that depend on sylius/sylius.
- Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed.

## Rollback considerations
- Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward.

## Unresolved questions
- Which deployments run an affected version?
- Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority.
- Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production.
