Source description
As published by the source; long descriptions are shortened.
An issue was discovered in LibreNMS through 1.47. The scripts that handle graphing options (html/includes/graphs/common.inc.php and html/includes/graphs/graphs.inc.php) do not sufficiently validate or encode several fields of user supplied input. Some parameters are filtered with mysqlirealescapestring, which is only useful for preventing SQL injection attacks; other parameters are unfiltered. This allows an attacker to inject RRDtool syntax with newline characters via the html/graph.php script. RRDtool syntax is quite versatile and an attacker could leverage this to perform a number of attacks, including disclosing directory structure and filenames, file content, denial of service, or writing arbitrary files.

# Patch Next advisory brief: CVE-2019-10665 Advisory: LibreNMS Information Disclosure IDs: CVE-2019-10665, GHSA-q5rg-wg7h-73m5 Record: https://patchnext.com/advisories/cve-2019-10665 (revision 1, source checked 26 Oct 2026, 14:38 UTC) Inventory: none attached. This brief comes from a public page and does not say whether any deployment is affected. Severity: Critical (CVSS 9.8) Exploitation: no confirmed exploitation recorded. Patch Next confirms exploitation only from CISA KEV. Vendor response: Vendor response not established. A vendor fix does not mean a deployment is fixed. ## Affected components - Packagist librenms/librenms: affected <= 1.47 ## Suggested inspection (read-only) - Packagist librenms/librenms: check the installed version with your package manager. ## Supported action No complete vendor fix is recorded. Follow the primary source's mitigation guidance and check this record again before closing anything. ## Required regression checks - Run the test suite and a production build. - Exercise the features that depend on librenms/librenms. - Repeat the inspection and confirm that only fixed versions remain installed. ## Rollback considerations - Keep the previous lockfile and deployment artifact. Rolling back reinstates the vulnerable version, so apply any documented mitigation while you fix forward. ## Unresolved questions - Which deployments run an affected version? - Exploitation status can change. Check again before lowering the priority. - Mark the work resolved only after the fixed version is verified in production. ## Sources - Verified: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-q5rg-wg7h-73m5 (GitHub-reviewed advisory GHSA-q5rg-wg7h-73m5 lists affected ranges: Packagist librenms/librenms >=0 <=1.47) Commands are suggestions: review each one before running it.
